1. About these terms
These terms explain how to register for and participate in The Majors, organised by THE MAJORS PADEL LTD ("we", "us"). Read them alongside the policies listed in section 10 before registering.
2. Who can enter
Players must be at least 16 years old by November 28th. Players below the minimum age cannot register.
Players aged 16-17 require consent from a parent or legal guardian through the separate registration consent process.
Players aged 18 or over must complete the adult player declaration.
Additional eligibility requirements: Players must hold a current valid British passport. Entrants in the Male tournament must have a minimum Playtomic/Padel Mates (or equivalent) level of 4.0 with 70%+ reliability and be outside the LTA Top 50. Entrants in the Female tournament must have a minimum Playtomic/Padel Mates (or equivalent) level of 3.0 with 60%+ reliability and be outside the LTA Top 25. (The Organiser reserves the right to verify Playtomic level, reliability and playing history. Where the Organiser reasonably believes that a player's profile, level or reliability does not accurately reflect their playing standard, it may request further information and determine eligibility in accordance with the Tournament Terms.) Players with an equivalent or higher FIP ranking to those illegible LTA players won’t be accepted. Eligibility will initially be assessed at the point of registration and may be re-verified by the Organiser before the tournament. Players must continue to satisfy the published eligibility requirements at the applicable eligibility cut-off date notified by the Organiser. There will be 60 Men’s Teams & 32 Women’s Teams. No additional teams will be accepted.
3. Registration and confirmation
Entries will open on October 19th and close on November 9th. Players must provide accurate player, date-of-birth and emergency contact details, together with other required information when signing up, and tell us promptly if these details change. Players can either register with a partner, or as an individual. Players who have registered with a partner will need to ensure they meet the criteria. In cases where they don’t, players will need to find a new partner. Individual entries will be given the opportunity to choose from their pool. Any remaining players will be paired together. A submitted form does not mean registration is complete. Completion requires the applicable declaration, parent/guardian consent where required, and successful payment. We will confirm completion by email. A reserve list will be created, and eligible pairs will be contacted if there are dropouts. The Majors reserves the right to refuse or cancel an entry where the eligibility requirements are not met or information provided during registration is inaccurate or incomplete.
Before and during the event:

This schedule follows the tournament structure page.

Award conditions and payment
5. Withdrawal walkovers and disqualification
If a team withdraws, fails to attend, is unable to complete a match due to injury, or concedes a walkover, the Organiser may award the match to the opposing team. Where a team withdraws or is unable to continue due to injury after reaching a prize-paying stage, any prize entitlement will be determined by the Tournament Director based on the stage reached and the tournament format. A withdrawal or retirement due to injury will not automatically result in forfeiture of prize money already earned by reaching a particular stage. A team disqualified for misconduct, breach of tournament rules or ineligibility may forfeit some or all prize money, subject to review by the Tournament Director.
Pairs may not change players once the tournament has started unless expressly approved by the Organiser before play and permitted under the tournament rules. If an eligibility issue is discovered, or a result is subsequently overturned, the Organiser may amend the final standings, recover any prize money paid incorrectly and reallocate it to the team entitled to the relevant finishing position. Any affected player will be informed of the decision and given a reasonable opportunity to provide relevant information before a final decision is made.
6. Verification and payment
Before payment, we will request proof of identity, confirmation of tournament results and the bank account details required to process payment through a secure payment information request issued directly by the Organiser. See the Participant Privacy Notice at www.themajorspadel.co.uk for information on how personal data is handled.
Each player will normally be paid their share of the team prize separately into a UK bank account held in their own name. For players aged 16–17, payment will be made to their parent or legal guardian on their behalf. Prize payments will be made in GBP (£) within 30 days of the tournament, subject to receipt and successful verification of all required information. Players are responsible for any charges applied by their own bank, including any currency conversion charges.
Players must provide complete payment details within 60 days of being notified of their prize entitlement. We will make at least one reasonable reminder before treating a prize as unclaimed. Any unclaimed prize will remain with the Organiser and will not automatically be reallocated. For payment queries or problems, contact admin@themajorspadel.co.uk.
7. Taxes and publicity
Prize recipients are responsible for any tax or other liabilities that may arise from receiving prize money, depending on their individual circumstances. The Organiser will comply with any applicable UK reporting, withholding or other legal requirements and does not provide individual tax advice. Winners may be asked to take part in reasonable prize presentations and event-related photography or announcements. Participation in optional promotional, marketing or additional media activity is not a condition of
receiving prize money. Tournament results and appropriate winner coverage may be published in accordance with the Media Notice and Participant Privacy Notice.
8. Changes cancellation and disputes
If the tournament is postponed, interrupted or reduced due to circumstances outside the Organiser's reasonable control, the Organiser will aim to complete or reschedule the affected matches and maintain the advertised prize structure wherever reasonably possible. If the tournament cannot be completed, the Organiser will determine the fairest reasonable allocation of prize money having regard to the stage reached, completed results and tournament format. Where a finishing position cannot reasonably be determined, the Organiser may divide the applicable prize money equally between the teams remaining at that stage.
For any prize-related complaint, contact admin@themajorspadel.co.uk within 14 days of the relevant result or prize decision. The Organiser will acknowledge the complaint within 7 working days and aim to provide a written outcome within 14 working days after reviewing the relevant results, tournament records and information provided by the player.
