MATCHUPS & SEEDINGS

Seeded to avoid
a group of death.

Applies to both championships. The aim is a field that stays competitive from the first group to the final point.

GROUPS

Players will be seeded based off a combination of their Playtomic Rating & LTA Ranking. All 60 Men's Teams & 32 Women's Teams will be ranked, and each team from top to bottom will be spread between the groups one by one, to ensure the highest/lowest level talent is shared between all groups. This prevents 'Groups of Death' for example.

KNOCKOUTS

Following the Men's Groups, the Top 2 per group (24 Teams), as well as the 8 best 3rd-placed finishers, progress. From this, the R32 Matches are devised based on performance. For example, the best-performing 1st-place finishers play against the worst-performing 3rd-place finishers, and so on. This is in line with typical tournament formatting. 1st & 2nd Placed finishers from the same groups will likely fall in separate brackets too.

PRICE FUND

deep into the draw.

An identical £17,000 pool for each of the Men's and Women's Championships — £34,000 in total. Prize money trickles down to the semi-finalists and beyond, the way it does in tennis and professional padel

ENTRIES

Enter via our Website/Playtomic

Entries can't be done on a first come, first served basis. This could potentially result in the tournament filling out with lower-tier players and compromise the overall quality. Instead, we will accept entries in a tiered system. We want the tournament to be competitive, and for players to believe in the dream of winning. If the lower level is too low, we will have beginners competing against some of the UK's best. Alternatively, without an upper limit, it becomes quite clear which few players take home the cash.
